I was not sure that this game would go ahead what with all the Covid-19 stuff about but it seems like it will and the Ospreys have named their 23 man squad for this match. Some players return, but some others miss out.
Yes I absolutely would prefer it, we need to be entertained or else sport is pointless and only serves the people actively involved in it. We remember scintillating tries and great skills, but hardly ever remember a match where we win 9-6 on penalties.
@daves disco I would much prefer any of my sports teams to win in the last second with last ditch points or goal than I would enjoy a brilliant match and LOSE.
I do get what you are saying and that there does need to be an element of entertainment in the pro sports industry but not at the cost of results. Coaches and managers' jobs depend on their results.
I think you need to build a team/squad that is capable of winning games first and foremost, no matter how, and then the better performances should naturally follow. Take Exeter Chiefs for example - they do not play the most expansive rugby but for a while they were winning everything. Success breeds success and then you can sign better quality players which in turn increases the skills on display which increases the entertainment value.
