Finally our European campaign is over. It is now time for the Osprey board to try and re-connect with the fan base and come up with a credible plan to take us forward.
It probably all starts with the board. The majority are unpaid but they have presided over an unbelievable shambles. Sure there have been severe headwinds but it must be apparent to them that they have put people in jobs way above their head. Nobody epitomises this more than Millward. He has not got the experience aptitude or skill-set to be a managing director of any business. Unlike the other directors he is paid and anybody who performs as poorly as he has cannot remain in a job without the whole credibility of the organisation failing. He may be a decent bloke he may be Hore's annointed successor but he is unfit for purpose and as the toppaid executive in the organisation he has to pay the price. His replacement should be a properly qualified and experienced communicator who can communicate with the fans and sponsors and assure them the desire to rebuild is genuine.
The next stage is for Ruddock to find a defence coach and a head coach to work with himself and Hogg. We have not got time to wait for the perfect candidates. We have to be ready to hit the off season running with those key positions filled. The sooner will fill this the sooner Sheratt can go. Anybody who picks Price ahead of MCKenzie Evans and Hook must surely be looking to leave early with a pay off. It is the most unbelievable act of self harm I have ever seen.
ruddock is apparently overseeing the interview process. Should be a big improvement on recent appointments. lots of allegations that a certain senior member of the ospreys set up was paraltic drunk over in munster last weekend!
