I would hope the temporary situation is Ruddock taking a look to see just how bad it is behind the scenes. Iirc he was a very good man manager, so could get the players firing properly quite quickly I think. I gotta say, it’s fingers crossed from me, would be happy to see him in charge.
Mike is the sort of personality that people warm to. He is liked in the area. I think Clarke was harshly treated but I am not sure he was the man to take us forward. The trouble with a big name DOR is he needs a decent team and Mike's role, if it becomes permanent, is more likely I feel to be at the expense of Millward ,who just cannot articulate and just has an unfortunate uncommunicative manner. Put simply the role he is playing is about as much use as a lighthouse in a desert. Mike is nearly 60 now so I see his key role as helping the board get their rugby strategy right and explaining to supporters what that strategy is. If properly used and supported he could prove an oasis in our desert as opposed to the lighthouse.
