With the 6Nations on a rest weekend, all attention will fall on the Regions again as the Ospreys travel to Ireland to face the might of Munster at Thomond Park. Going to Thomond is hard enough at the best of times but when you go there without your Team Wales boys (14), your Wales U20s (8) and a whole host of injured players (10+), things will be even harder but whatever squad the Ospreys manage to put together will give their all.
Unless called up by Team Wales (Nicky, Morgan, Keelan) and no players get released back to us, I expect the Squad to look something like this-
N Smith G Phillips E Taione T Cowan-Dickie T Botha R Henry BBBD H Sutton J Fender J Regan M Morris H Deaves E Roots (please let him be fit)
RMW M Aubrey J Walsh S Myler K Giles TTW M Collins L Morgan M Nagy I Hopkins
which is virtually the same squad we named for Zebre. This will be a much stiffer test.
Discuss.
Apologies if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be nice if somebody from the Rugby side would actually come on the website and gave some sort of apology for what happened at Thomond Park on Friday night. I watched the whole game on BBC 2 and nobody came and said anything, and I watched the after match report on Premier Sports the same. I just feel sorry for the fans who went out there and paid hard earned money to watch that, not good enough.
After watching the effort of the Drags team against the very top Irish side, and also the Cardiff game when the players were thanking Peter Pies for their wages , I am embarrassed and bitterly disappointed with the display by our players
not a first team , but one made up in part by experienced players
seems like turkeys voting for Christmas
Sadly
Was that the worst result in our history?
For me that performance looked like the beginning of the end for us as a region.
The Cardiff/Turk run WRU have beaten us.
A sad sad day for rugby in Wales
A sobering night. I can imagine that off field matters will have affected the team, just feel so sorry for the players atm and at the same time so angry with WRU.
Another lineout goes astray.
More poor defence and Munster score their 8th try.
Do they realise they only get 5 points for 4 tries and not get extra for 8,9 or 10 tries?
Munster are putting in late cheap shots on Myler and the ref says he was committed.
More piss poor defence from the Ospreys and Munster score their 7th try.
Young Iestyn Hopkins is looking like a decent player (On for Mike Collins who has failed his HIA)
More poor defence and Munster score their 6th try. 39-3 with 25 minutes to play.
The Munster offload game is proving too hot to handle for the Ospreys tonight. Allied to too many Ospreys having an off night - Roots and Watkin are looking rusty and like players who have not played in ages.
All of the things that make the Ospreys the team they are, are missing tonight... poor lineout and poor defence aligned with some poor kicking.
More poor defence from the Ospreys and Munster are in for the 5th try.
Gonna be a long night.
Half time.
Ospreys have not played well and missed at least 4 chances.
Munster are playing well and have taken 4 of their chances.
Another foul from Munster but the ref ignores the player playing the ball on the floor again. Yes he was first man but he was clearly off his feet playing the ball and should have been penalised.
Munster are very good value for their lead but they have been helped by missed tackles and some missed fouls by Munster.
Zebo (again) tackles Nagy while still on the floor and the ref gives them a scrum and from it they score the BP try.
Ospreys have missed 3 lineouts in great positions and have failed to capitalise.
Ospreys are missing too many first up tackles and Munster's centres are running riot as they score their third try.
Ospreys take the lead with an early penalty that also comes with a Munster yellow card.
Munster hit back with a penalty and then a try of their own and it is compounded when BBBD is shown a yellow card for head contact.
Zebo then clearly plays the ball on the floor (Nicky Smith was pinged 5 minutes ago for the same offence) but Munster are awarded the scrum and then they score again.
Ospreys have given away some silly penalties.
This could be a long night against a good side.

Owen Watkin is definitely available for Friday. I think Sam Parry is too.
So, no players released then……
Saw on Twitter that Farrell has released 13 Irish boys back to their provinces for the weekend.
One would hope that we get Keiran and maybe Rhys back but then again....
Just saw a Training clip on Twitter that has Parry throwing into a lineout and Roots catching the ball in the air.
Let's hope that they are both fit enough to be involved.
I can't see Keiron being allowed back, Gatland likes to have 2 full teams for training purposes and with Tompkins forced to go back to Saracens he'll only have last weeks 2 starters Keiron and Grady to fill 12 &13.
I think Booth said Watkin should be back and Lydiate had an outside chance
we may get Keiton and Rhys Davies back if they don’t make the 23 next week And I don’t know how serious the young Caiser’s foot injury is. At some point Harri Morgan has to be worth a shot as he seems to have little confidence in using Aubrey from the bench.
