khbw, yes agree things must change, agree culpability of Walker and he should go, as for taken advice from Woodward he wouldn't have the interests of Welsh Rugby, there is too much Cardiff influence on the WRU Board already, and why was a WRU Board member allowed to criticise Gatland on National Television if there is any conflict of interest that's it, if Gatland wants to go upstairs let him but only for the short term which would be probably until the next WC, a far better person to run the other side of Welsh Rugby would be our AWJ.

As you say the playing time and placing them would heavily favour Cardiff, the National Academy is a must in my eyes and who would be any better than our Mike Ruddock, nobody as far as I can see, as far as favouritism for Cardiff, that's easily settled in that they have to go to the area where they came from, yes Ireland are better funded, but to me the success of the last 15 or so years were heavily influenced by the remarkable players that came through at basically the same time, how many world class players have come through the Regions Academy since they took over the mantle (not many in my eyes) and as for mentors Jiffy in an article on WOL last week said he'd offered to mentor players in the past to the WRU and had been turned down flat.

Let me just say I'm like Fiddler since the shenanigans of Lewis and Pickering I have no reason to support or to let the WRU have any influence in our dealings, and until I see the small print in these dealings if they have too much influence I would walk away totally from Welsh Rugby

I agree. The shame being, the new makeup of the WRU appear as clueless as the previous lot.

A skip read of the annual report throws up no mention of this and it was rejected pretty forcibly just 3 weeks ago. They can't just "take a stake" in privately owned companies anyway.

They can if the company consents and they offer money for it it may not be in the report but the Chairman announced it

Not really practical Tommy. We have to learn to work with them and get our own house in order at the same time. Our attack structure is light years behind what is being developed. Attacks now go off the nine to create gain line success and have width. Outside of possibly Hardy who we have not seen enough of our stable of 9’s are nowhere near good enough and the attack is too narrow.

I understand that, but I hold the WRUin with nothing but disdain. Yes, we need them onside but I would not trust them with a bag of peanuts. I hope, whatever happens, like us all, is for the betterment of the Ospreys and Welsh rugby. But looking back in history, I have no confidence in them whatsoever.
