Between the three you can cover the position although Roots didn't look overly comfortable last Friday picking up or playing off the back of the scrum. 10 does depend on Anscombe, Myler is a solid pair of hands but thought Josh Thomas could develop through some decent game time in the Rainbow Cup especially after the performance he had away at Leinster. I really worry with the wing spots. With North out for a long spell, Dirksen gone and Evans like you said sadly looking a shadow of himself, it's a problem area. Unless of course the coaches are confident with Cross and Nagy seeing the field quite regularly next season.
It looks pretty likely we will bag a wing of some size although with varying ability. We have been/are in for Earle Cuthy and Fidow so you would expect us to bag a big physical winger sooner rgather than later. Nagy looks the part, not convinced by Cross. It would be a big risk to go with Josh Thomas as a 10. His distribution is poor and he has not been able to shape the game as Myler does. He has looked better at 15
Would love to see more of our boys selected, but thinking more from an Ospreys POV it’ll be great to have a back row including jac Morgan and Morgan Morris whilst the internationals are on. It’ll also help them get a good pre-season in. I’m assuming the new season will start end of august so it’s not far away at all.
@MorristonRhys I am comfortably with 8. I think Morgan and Morris will cover the slot with Roots to move across from 6 if one of those has to play 7 when Tips is not around. The 10 position totally depends on how Anscombe comes back .I would like some insurance on that position. Wing and full back are real weak spots paticularly if you take into account the massive deterioration we saw in Dan Evans this season.
Injuries aside, I can't help but feel as though this summer would've been an excellent opportunity to introduce a few more than five uncapped players. Overall you look at players such as Moriarty, Turnbull, Halaholo, Halfpenny etc and you know exactly what you can expect from them. They're a known quantity.
You just feel as though it would've been a golden chance to take a look at players like Jac Morgan, Morgan Morris, Kieran Williams, Aneurin Owen, Mat Protheroe. I don't see any opportunity for these players to get a taste of international rugby aside from this summer as Pivac has already said we're doing a three match test series out in SA next summer. Unless one of them plays out of their skin, it's hard to imagine any of them making the autumn series or 6N squad.
MP has had groin surgery Jake so was unavailable. Pivac said OW has had niggles and was left out to condition properly. KW has had head injury issues but not convinced he will be international level even though an excellent regional player. A bit like Dan Evans when he was younger and two stones lighter.
Booth is never going to get everything right. But after what we have had to put up with from Hore/Tandy through to Millward/Clarke at least with Booth/Ruddock they are not going to get everything wrong.
Personally I would like to see a bit of an off-field restructure in the off season with Booth becoming DOR and an experienced coach brought in to the team to supplement the very inexperienced assistants we already have.
Thankfully the new owners have dispensed with the unique and senseless structure set up when one of Blyth or Atherton was chairman of having one man seamlessly in charge of both rugby and commercial operations.

Cheers @Fiddler, I hadn’t heard any of that. Hopefully they all have a good recovery and a good pre-season for us to hit the ground running.

Booth has cost Rhys Davies a cap by (bafflingly) not starting him in any of the RC games.
Booth has been class, but he’s made a lot of baffling decisions with selection.
