I can't attend any games anywhere without our daughter drives 4 hours to take on carer duties then I make a 3 hour round trip which is not on at 11 pm driving over the Beacons. I voted no but what would dissuade me from Bridgend as a home venue is the parking.
Stands could be built, facilities upgraded but given the elderly demographic of rugby crowds serious attention has to be given to disabled facilities including walking distance from parking. The same applies to St Helens's or Gnoll and my dream scenario would be a new 12,000 seater on the Cardonnel site at Llandarcy. That even has a rail line through it.
I think his view were a bit more nuanced than that. He said had to balance factors such as stadium availability and the level of attendance being achieved going forward. to make an informed decision on that. The trouble with the current position that was apparent from the podcast (which incidentally was really well done by the lads who did it)is that there are clearly matters they are not in a position to announce yet which includes stadium issues and Y11's business and investment model and retention and recruitment. All he is able to do at the moment is allude to the likely direction of travel. He seemed to suggest that should be in the near future when we might start to get a more complete picture to help put all matters in context. Pro rugby in Wales and England is now a game of last man standing picking up the benefits and we have to ensure by whatever means needed we are one of the last men.
There really can only be two reasons. Higher net revenue from the game because of the cost of the stadium use being possibly higher for a knock out game. And/or getting Sale on a smaller pitch in a more hostile atmosphere in a smaller fuller stadium increasing the chance of winning and getting the prescribed share of the gate at a packed Kingsholm in the next round.
I dont live in Wales anymore, and dont think ill be able to make the date, so have voted no. However, as others have pointed out, moving permanently away from the Swansea area would be the biggest single cause of catastrophic self-harm we can do. Bridgend certainly isnt the answer. I say this as someone who is originally from closer to Bridgend than Swansea.
It is an interesting call. If the pitch suits us more than Sale and we get a full house I can see the financial benefit of getting to a last 8 game even if away. Agree with Wayne though Brewery fielsd should be last place we permanently move to. It is in the Cardiff city Region and any move there on a permanent basis would be a bigger death knell than staying at the Swansea.com.
I voted yes, as I will support my Region wherever we play our Home matches for this season. Do I expect to carry on supporting the Ospreys if we decide all our Home matches in the future to be played out of the Brewery Field and the answer is a resounding NO.
After the excellent facilities of our normal Home stadium I wouldn't want to go to lesser facilities that are currently in use at BF.
Jason, for the Cardiff game we were in Block F which was just North of the halfway line so I would say that Block C is close to the 22, South of the halfway.
I voted undecided as the people I go to the game with are older and they have said that it would be too late for them to be travelling back from Bridgend after the game. My son lives in the capital so I am trying to persuade him to join me.
Unfortunately, I cannot make this game. Probably would have gone if I was able to.
Tickets a little more expensive than I thought they would have been. Especially seating, probably made the decision for me honestly

I have a jaundiced view I believe we are going to the Brewery purely for financial reasons
LB stated on the podcast that the Sharks game in London was a real assistance and stated that it was something they would do again
AND against IRISH sides
Accepted we need money to survive , but what message is that to season ticket holders and fans
No for reasons of facilities
I am concerned from content of the podcast that cost cutting to obviate losses is a major driver
Question
What is the arrangement of our " sub lease "
Are we obliged to
Use the Swansea stadium for URC games if it is available
Not obliged for cup games
Is the visit to Bridgend a cost cutting exercise as it has been said we pay per visit use

I'll wait until the match tickets go on sale, just concerned about the return train journey. Going forward, puts Bridgend out of the picture for me...
