@ospreysfanforum that’s great to know that’s come from him. Concerned that it still could mean seeing a split funding model, so all the more important that we win well against the bulls on Friday and get that European cup spot. Huge task though against an incredibly powerful team.

@Jake Bullet the funding model if it changes will be post 23/24. it would be nice to finish top region this year but nowhere near as critical as playing well next season and finishing high in URC.

Being concerned is a natural but useless emotion. If you want to do something positive join the Trust and help the fight. That is useful.

The Trust met with the Ospreys recently and we discussed all things Ospreys.

I am not going to get into a "He said/She said" debate but I do know that these things are true:-

1) The new Comms Director was the Comms Director for Vodacom Rugby, and also worked with the Springboks and the URC. His arrival will be announced shortly.

2) Simon Roberts has left but for a job with more responsibility and a lot more money.

3) Tiffany is still working for the Ospreys.

The Trust and this Forum believe that slating and personal attacks on Ospreys players and staff are not at all helpful to any discussion and will not be tolerated going forward. By all means you can state your opinion but please leave the personal attacks out of your posts.

@MD Milldew I don’t think it is Garcia‘s job to be well liked by other members of the PRB. It is his job to ensure the Ospreys get the best deal they can from it. If you think he got the job as a mate I suggest you take a good look at his CV which anybody can read on LinkedIn. It is at least 15 years in pretty high powered roles in the sports industry and little evidence of the London law scene you refer to. Y11 rely on private equity and anybody with experience of private equity will tell you they set metrics for all their executives and don’t invest money for mates to blow it.

@Fiddler I am probably wrong but I would imagine that that there are a lot of people sitting in that room thinking this is how we have always done things and Garcia is the one saying try this. That never goes down well.

I think a breakaway is impossible. What might be far more feasible is a separation of the community and pro game within the WRU.
