Fresh from the brilliant win against the Stormers, the next fixture up is the always difficult trip to Ireland to face Munster. The squad will be brimming with confidence after their efforts last week but this is a big test for this young squad.

I think we will see an unchanged squad for this one...

What was so depressing for me, was the fact that Munster in the first half showed us exactly how to play in the 2nd and we did nothing like it, kick long utilising the wind and play from there, and in the 2nd half instead of white line fever and our forwards trying to get over the gain line, if it didn't work in the first few occasions then spread it to give our backs the opportunity.

Looking at the Blues in their game yesterday next Saturday could be a very long evening.

Indeed Wayne the game plan was shocking. We never recovered our composure after Watkin dropping the kick off. The stupidity of short chip kicks into the wind was bizarre. I think the lack of tactical nous and game plan can be worked on and improved. Although we now call our self a top 8 side Munster and the Bulls are proven top four sides so a win against them is always unlikely. What was the most worrying aspect was Steff Thomas was shown to be weak and undersized in contact and at the set piece and it was only when Garyn came on the scrum had any stability. We will not make top 8 without strengthening prop depth as Booth’s game plan is dependent on a stable to strong scrum. Without it his game plan relies solely on good fortune. Signing an under sized third/fourth choice from a weak scrummaging side always looked like a waste of money and last night and the final stages of the Dragons proved it.

The jury is out on Warren and Ioreth-Scott is a long term project but at least they have pro size that Duncan can work on.
