Fresh from the brilliant win against the Stormers, the next fixture up is the always difficult trip to Ireland to face Munster. The squad will be brimming with confidence after their efforts last week but this is a big test for this young squad.
I think we will see an unchanged squad for this one...
G Thomas G Phillips D Lake E Lewis T Botha B Warren A Beard H Sutton J Ratti J Morgan J Tipuric M Morris H Deaves
RMW L Davies D Edwards L Morgan K Williams O Watkin R Conbeer J Walsh P Cokansiga M Nagy
What was so depressing for me, was the fact that Munster in the first half showed us exactly how to play in the 2nd and we did nothing like it, kick long utilising the wind and play from there, and in the 2nd half instead of white line fever and our forwards trying to get over the gain line, if it didn't work in the first few occasions then spread it to give our backs the opportunity.
Looking at the Blues in their game yesterday next Saturday could be a very long evening.
Munster: 15 Mike Haley, 14 Calvin Nash, 13 Tom Farrell, 12 Bryan Fitzgerald, 11 Shay McCarthy, 10 Jack Crowley, 9 Craig Casey, 8 Jack O’Donoghue, 7 John Hodnett, 6 Peter O’Mahony, 5 Tadhg Beirne (c), 4 Jean Kleyn, 3 Oli Jager, 2 Niall Scannell, 1 Jeremy Loughman
Replacements: 16 Diarmuid Barron, 17 John Ryan, 18 Stephen Archer, 19 Fineen Wycherley, 20 Gavin Coombes, 21 Conor Murray, 22 Tony Butler, 23 Jack Daly
Referee Mike Adamson. It never rains but .....
Just seen the team we have picked according to WOL, got to say a bit worried about the scoreline.
I wonder if we will revert to two locks and Ratti at 6 rather than go with the lighter back row. When on the road I prefer a weightier pack and stronger defensive wingers in the back three.
