Duncan Jones - New First Team Coach

Balanced Player Recruitment is a far bigger issue than assistant coaches. We could have the top specialists in the world but nobody can give our pool of back row players outside Tips and Lydiate the speed explosion and size they need to win collisions and cover the open field. No coach can build an attacking system off 10 with a 37 year old playing there and a youngster backing him up.

As you say we are 2 from 3 when we should be 0 from 3 on paper. We have been helped by bad weather as I fear our lack of speed would have been heavily exposed on fast drier tracks.

If we can at least get a 10 and an 8 this season we may be able to push Glasgow out of the third slot in our conference. If not we will be in a conference basement battle with Zebre and the Dargons.
