Feast of rugby on the Teli this weekend, and especially noted the French " bands " within the crowd
Used to enjoy the band Wayne brought to the ground , I believe finances, paid by the band members themselves, put paid to that
I also enjoyed the drummers , albeit I was never too close to them , and their demise I understood was due to adjacent " supporters " complaining about the noise
Several posters on the old forum suggested words for an Ospreys song , a la Scarlets various renditions
Given the recent discussions regarding adding to the atmosphere of our oversized stadium what are the views to the band, drummers and the music presently paid during stoppages
Note
I have never enjoyed the " Players Playlists " but then again I am from a completely different era , ( I still remember proper singing at Arms Park )
Definitely bring the band back. Had the same thought myself. It's the single best thing you can do to help create atmosphere. The polar opposite of what's currently happening with music drowning out the building atmosphere after every score
I took a ukulele once on the supporters bus to Parc Y Scarlets, the whole busfull seemed to join in but then it was Xmas. Not difficult to write a supporters song. I have one I wrote some time ago about Assey (Paul James), and there's a good musician at the helm of the suporters club now. 🎵🎻🎼🎹
Would love to see the band back
After the win at Welford Road last year, me and a few other fans were doing a victory lap and you really quickly run out of Ospreys songs and chants when you're doing them back to back- It's ole ole ole and Hymns & Arias on a loop. It'd be fantastic to build out a greater range, this team deserves it.
The old neathneathneath chant as Keithkeithkeith for Keiran Williams feels frankly necessary to me. I'm sure we could find a few more player-related ones, Cardiff were doing a great job of this a few years back.
