For all the reports from WRU as a change of relationship from Master/Servant with the Regions still we get the Chair waving his big stick to try to get Ospreys,Scarlets and Dragons to bend the knee , DISGRACEFUL

Any good news on anything. ?
Is there any word if anything has come out of today's meeting.
Just a thought, I believe that the WRU AGM will happen in the summer.
As neither us or the Scarlets have a vote, why don't the clubs that fall within our regions raise a motion of no confidence against Abi and the crew?
Perhaps this is a blue sky option but it will indicate that the west will fight back!
Included as part of the so called Agreement the Masters have the ability, subject to Playrr acceptance,to take the likes of Jac,Dewi and Dan to Cardiff
Whilst the present situation is considered a disaster it is also a golden opportunity,
Us and Scarlets not signing the Agreement, let the 2 years elapse and join the English league, even if the lower division with promotion opportunity
Legal and financial issues abound , but I’m sure it would be possible
A message to the Ospreys Family from Lance Bradley, CEO
Monday 19 May 2025
To all our amazing supporters,
I wanted to write to you to let you know our thoughts following yesterday’s statement from the WRU, and to personally thank you for your continued support.
The “One Wales” strategy had been worked on collaboratively by the WRU and all four professional clubs for more than a year. The WRU’s sudden U-turn away from that strategy and their commitment to a ‘four teams, equally funded’ model for Welsh professional rugby was surprising and disappointing. It has raised questions for all four professional clubs, and for those who back and support them.
We understand that this kind of news can cause concern, but we want to reassure you, we are committed to building a sustainable, competitive and exciting future for the Ospreys, especially as we prepare for our move to St Helen’s. We’re proud of who we are, what we stand for, and the role we play in Welsh rugby.
There are still questions to be answered, and like you, we have many of them. While we may not have all the clarity right now, we want you to know that we’re fully committed to securing not just the future of the Ospreys, but to play our part in ensuring a strong future for Welsh rugby as a whole.
Through it all, our focus stays the same: building a strong, sustainable future for the club, and continuing to do our supporters proud.
I’m pleased to say that having spoken to Rob Stewart, leader of Swansea Council, I can confirm that the Council’s commitment to our redevelopment of St Helen’s remains unchanged. We’re grateful for their continued support.
As always, we’re incredibly grateful for your loyalty and support. Whether you’re in the stands, watching from home, wearing the jersey, or backing us in spirit, you are Ospreys. And together, we’ll get through this stronger than ever.
Thank you for standing with us.
Lance Bradley
The WRU have released a statement.
More clarity less hype on BBC. 2 x2 funding model. Have we buggered up here? Signing the deal would have green lighted St Helens. That’s key to whatever comes next.
So do we go quietly into the night or do we plan to fight and protest with all we have?
Scarletnut writes that "WRU have activated the two-year notice on the old PRA" and that means one region is doomed.
If we are the one being cut then let's do it now. Sack all staff and players and organise a class action against WRU to include CVC, URC and TV rights holders. Assist all players in becoming Exiles because there will be 25% fewer jobs in Wales.
Bite the bullet and not watch the region die as players drift away but euthanase it right now. Mind you, WRU have strongly denied they will cut to three and we have no idea of the Turk's source.
Not looking good, going down to three teams…….

I'm very disappointed with the current situation. the negativity around the RPA, the continuing silence from the regions leaders coupled with the lack of signings for next season is making it impossible to attract fans back. The poor end to the season hasn't helped. Even the delay in announcing ST for next year is a little annoying. Where will we really be playing home games next year? Even the initial euphoria of SH is muted. I don't want to get dragged in the negative black hole of Welsh rugby but I can feel me feet slipping
Unfortunately, looks like we are back to silly season again. Talk of us yet again under threat with Y11 sniffing around Cardiff. Where theres a void, others will fill it, talk of St Helens now also stalled, but to be fair I suppose thats gonna happen as its dependant on the new RPA being signed. No wonder our crowds are continually dropping when this happens year after year.
The Ospreys and Scarlets acknowledge the Welsh Rugby Union's latest statement and the decisions by Cardiff Rugby and Dragons RFC to sign the proposed new Professional Rugby Agreement (PRA25).
As two independent professional clubs, Ospreys and Scarlets have a long-standing commitment to sustainable professional rugby in Wales. As key contributors to the success of Welsh rugby now and in the future, we remain committed to finding a solution.
The WRU’s ownership of Cardiff Rugby is a significant change in the professional rugby landscape in Wales.
For the long-term benefit of Welsh Rugby we want to make sure the model going forward is fair, equitable and sustainable.
We have asked the WRU for assurances and clarity that their ownership of Cardiff will not disproportionally benefit Cardiff and disadvantage the independent clubs. Our requests are made in the pursuit of clarity, professionalism, fairness and the long-term sustainability and future of all professional teams in Wales.
We continue to be in discussion with the WRU on the issue of fairness and hope to have a positive outcome in the near future. Until we have greater clarity, we are currently unable to sign the PRA25.
We remain committed to working constructively with the WRU to find solutions that support the game across our country and ensure a level playing field for all.
We fully respect Cardiff and Dragons RFC’s positions and to make decisions based on their respective circumstances.
During a season-defining weekend for Welsh Rugby in the BTK United Rugby Championship, out of respect for these games we will be making no further comment at this time and wish our colleagues at Cardiff and Dragons RFC the very best in their games later today.
Reply to fiddler English set up ?
From reports NatWest will not refinance Covid loan under present PRA
My opinion is that LB and Y10 and not forgetting our friends over the bridge are correct in not giving into Bullying
The Chairs position must now be open to discussion , The Welsh Sports Minister needs to have a word
All the uncertainty and negative reports in the press regarding this deal is slowly turning the average fan away from rugby and it doesn't help the ST sales for next season. LB needs to reassure everyone that our future is long term and go back to getting the public excited about the ospreys
Dragons have signed. This is not good.
Replying to showmaster
The problem with issuing empty threats , is you look foolish backing down
But
Is he going to be the one who completely destroys contracts in place with URC, TV rights etc
And lays open WRU to legal action by the Regions
The Chair at it again sign a PRA providing Cardiff with £2m more than the rest of you within 48 hours or you horrible lot have to stay on the same agreement as in place
Can see Lance getting out his tin hat and bayonet
I would prefer to pay poker against the prat’s in WRU than Lance
All gravy for the Lawyers me thinks
Sorry for the typo lads Mod will not allow change to PRA
