AWJ Toulon Debut

Please could somebody educate me about AWJ leaving the Ospreys. I cannot find any farewell speech or thanks to the region that raised me, and made me who I am anywhere. Did he just leave with no fanfare or have I missed something big somewhere down the line?

I just wish he had given some sort of thanks to the Ospreys fans , that I had seen. My only memory is of his cursory wave as he came off and ran down the tunnel during his final Ospreys game, it left me feeling that he had somehow fallen out with the Ospreys coaching team or management.
