Piecing together something I herd our DOR, R Baxter saying, I reckon either JT or Ross Moriarty will be coming to us at Exeter. Anybody heard anything?
Our share holding in the Hotel is now 49%. Before covid Exeter were season after season the only profitable club in the premiership. The conferencing has bounced back and looking good. So yes there is money. Plus the players coming is a No.8 and is 'going to the world cup', So I am looking around looking at contract status in Wales. If not these two I mentioned who?
As a Chief you may know the answer to this. Having sold shares in the hotel which was the only profitable part of your business, have you now paid off the £28.1M in short term-high interest loans you owed?
Do you have enough serious money to even contemplate signing anyone let alone Tips?
Tips should be out of contract this year but I wonder if his contract rolled as a consequence of missing an entire year from that Lions injury. Exeter through Baxter admit they have been in talks with loads of Welsh players and are losing huge numbers to France so it would be a surprise if they did not bag a few Welsh players. Roots is good value for whoever signs him.
We had at least 30 players out of contract. I reckon at least 10 will not be offered contract leaving around 20 who will. At his conference Booth said he had around 90% saying yes and a couple saying no. So that suggest to me there are at least two who we wanted but have signed elsewhere for better terms.
The Dargons apparently made 12 new contract offers and 8 were announced last week. The big two names not announced were Moriarty and Wainwright both back rowers with more than 25 caps.

Which JT do you mean? Jonathan Thomas who is currently coaching with Wales?
Also Ross Moriarty is with the Dragons.
